Salt Den Valley was created as I sat at my dining room table knowing I would be sitting there after day, working, eating, painting day in and day out. Not exciting future, no where to go, and uncertain if we would be going back to work the remainder of the year. COVID looked like it was here to stay and isolation was in full force. Finding an escape in my artwork and travelling in my mind was my escape. from the worry and from the uncertainty of what was coming. What do you paint when you are in that space? I painted with rose coloured glasses, a quiet place, warm glowing sky and gentle greens.
