Onism (one-ism) n.: The frustration of being stuck in one body, limiting you to only one place at one time.

I grew up about twenty minutes inland near the Crystal Springs Reservoir. The California summer heat would slowly creep up in my hometown, causing the cooler coast on the other side of the hills to release a blanket of fog. The fog would creep over the hills and gently wrap itself over the trees like a security blanket.

Onism takes inspiration from those magical California days and the emotions of feeling like I’m home and homesick no matter where I am.
